Classes
We
teach you and your dog all of the basic skills needed for a
mannerly pet dog, and how to apply them in your day-to-day life.
Classes are taught on leash at all times. Exercises
covered include: Calming the Crazies, Watch Me, Stays,
Sit, Down and Stand, Lure/Reward training Loose-leash
Walking, Heeling and Polite on leash greetings.
Adult classes are for quiet, people-friendly and
dog-friendly dogs less than 2 years of age.
The cost for this class is
$100.
Beginner
Our
puppy classes specifically focus on teaching bite inhibition
(gentle jaws), socialization with other dogs and people
(especially children, men and strangers), calming and handling,
attention to you, off-leash household manners/obedience and the
prevention of behavior and temperament problems.
We want to teach dogs to thoroughly enjoy the company of
people and other dogs. Sit,
down, stay, walking nicely on a leash and coming when called
will also be covered. Off-leash
control (around the home or on walks), yet promoting the
continued use of food treats to teach dogs to thoroughly enjoy
the company of people and other dogs will be incorporated in the
class.
